Jericho residents were mostly supportive, helped no doubt by the popularity of author Philip Pullman and his "Gyptians". Ten years later there is now planning permission for the boatyard, a new Community Centre, a new footbridge, public square, and housing, but the current owner is showing no sign of beginning work and the site is still boarded up |
