Jericho boatyard occupation

The boatyard was run by boaters for ten months, evicted on 31 May 2006. Jericho residents were mostly supportive, helped no doubt by the popularity of author Philip Pullman and his "Gyptians". Ten years later there is now planning permission for the boatyard, a new Community Centre, a new footbridge, public square, and housing, but the current owner is showing no sign of beginning work and the site is still boarded up
